The Record Multi Purpose Vice is a robust bench vice designed for medium-duty workshop applications, combining superior clamping performance with a space-saving design ideal for both professional tradespeople and competent DIY enthusiasts. Constructed from close-grained grey iron, the vice body and sliding jaw deliver exceptional strength and durability for demanding workshop tasks. All friction surfaces are precisely machined to ensure smooth, reliable operation throughout the vice's working life. The steel jaws provide secure workpiece retention, whilst the integrated anvil surface adds versatility for light metalworking tasks. The steel main screw features a two-start rolled acme thread that significantly reduces winding time, allowing the jaws to travel from fully closed to fully open position with minimal effort. This time-saving design enhancement makes repeated clamping operations more efficient in busy workshop environments. The compact swivel base configuration allows the vice to be rotated to optimal working positions, making it particularly suitable for workshop benches where space is at a premium. This multipurpose vice is well-suited to general engineering work, woodworking projects, and light fabrication tasks where reliable clamping force and positional flexibility are essential.
