Released in September 2024, this edition is part of Nike's effort to blend its track heritage with contemporary street style.. Design Highlights:. Aesthetic & Materials: Features a muted "Vintage Green" (bottle green) textured suede upper designed to provide a soft, heritage look and feel.. Signature Contrast: Crisp Muslin (light cream) accents appear on the leather Swooshes, flat laces, and heel tabs.. Heritage Branding: Old-school Nike logos adorn the nylon tongue, sockliner, and rearfoot, nodding to the brand's '70s origins.. Extra Laces: This pair typically includes an extra set of green laces to allow for optional styling.. Re-engineered Fit: Modern updates include a wider toe box and firmer side panels, which are engineered to prevent warping and keep the foot more stable compared to original models.. Cushioning: A lightweight foam midsole features the iconic raised EVA wedge in the heel, delivering the springy responsiveness and comfort for which the Cortez is known.. Outsole: Equipped with a herringbone-patterned gum rubber outsole that provides durable traction and maintains the classic "see-saw" edge detailing.. Usage & Fit:. Fit Advice: While the wider toe box improves comfort, the Cortez generally has a slim profile. We suggest ordering half a size smaller than usual for a snug fit, while others note it can run small for those with wider feet.. Intended Use: Originally a long-distance runner, this vintage version is primarily a lifestyle and walking shoe. Some users find it less supportive for heavy running or jogging.. Age Group: Adults.
