The Bosch PRO Brad Point Wood Drill Bit is a precision drilling accessory designed for clean, accurate holes in both hardwood and softwood. The brad point tip — also known as a centring tip — holds the bit precisely on position as you start each hole, preventing the wandering that can occur with standard twist bits. This makes it particularly well suited to joinery work, furniture making, and any application where hole placement accuracy matters. Two well-designed flutes clear chips efficiently during drilling, helping maintain the correct hole diameter throughout. Sharp spurs at the tip score the wood fibres cleanly before material is removed, significantly reducing splintering and tear-out for a neater finish on both entry and exit. The cylindrical shank is compatible with standard three-jaw drill chucks, making it easy to fit in a wide range of corded drills and cordless drill drivers.
