This Bosch EXPERT R444 125mm Sanding Disc in 100 grit strikes an excellent balance between material removal and surface refinement, making it a versatile mid-stage option for metalwork. The 100g grit is well suited to blending welds, preparing surfaces prior to coating, and removing discolouration — delivering a cleaner result than coarser grits while still removing material efficiently. Designed for use with standard angle grinders, it features a 22.23mm bore for compatibility with standard locking nut models and must be paired with a suitable backing pad. Fully synthetic resin bonding secures the semi-friable aluminium oxide abrasive grit to a stable vulcanised fibre backing for consistent, reliable performance across carbon steel, mild steel, aluminium, non-ferrous metals, and cast iron.
