The Bessey EKT55 is a specialised one-handed edge clamp designed for efficient application of multi-layered edge strips. Purpose-built for cabinet makers, joiners and furniture manufacturers, this German-engineered clamp combines innovative twin-spindle technology with lightweight construction to simplify demanding edge-clamping tasks. The unique twin-spindle system sets this clamp apart from conventional designs. The outer spindle operates the clamping jaws, whilst the inner spindle applies pressure to the front edge, allowing complete control with one hand. The impact-resistant plastic handle ensures comfortable operation even during extended use. Large clamping jaws with integrated colourless soft plastic caps provide non-slip, gentle clamping across a 55mm maximum opening distance. The swivel pressure plate adjusts to apply pressure precisely where needed, whilst protective caps safeguard delicate surfaces and can be easily removed when required. The statically-optimised aluminium housing delivers robust performance whilst keeping the overall weight to just 0.82kg, reducing operator fatigue during repetitive clamping operations. Ideal for edging worktops, applying veneer strips, and laminating furniture components where one hand must remain free to position materials accurately.
