The Draper XP1000 3/8" Drive VDE Insulated Ratchet is a professional-grade tool designed for safe work on live electrical circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. This VDE-certified ratchet is essential for electricians, hybrid and electric vehicle technicians, and other trades working with electrical systems where protection from voltage is critical. Forged from high-quality carbon steel, this Draper Expert XP1000® ratchet combines durability with precision engineering. The 45-tooth mechanism enables just 8° of movement between teeth, providing excellent control in confined spaces where a full swing isn't possible. The quick-release mechanism allows rapid socket changes, improving efficiency during service and maintenance work. Each ratchet is tested to 10,000V to guarantee safe working on circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, meeting stringent VDE insulation standards. This makes it particularly suitable for modern automotive work involving hybrid and EV powertrains, as well as commercial electrical installations where live circuit work is unavoidable. The reversible mechanism and 3/8" square drive provide compatibility with standard socket sets whilst maintaining full electrical insulation protection.
