The Draper Expert Combustion Gas Leak Detector Kit is a professional diagnostic tool designed to identify carbon dioxide in vehicle cooling systems, indicating potential head gasket failure, cracked engine blocks or warped cylinder heads. This essential combustion leak tester uses a simple colour-change method to quickly diagnose serious engine problems that could lead to costly repairs if left undetected. The twin-chamber design allows technicians to draw air through blue detector fluid using the supplied rubber bulb. When combustion gases containing CO2 are present in the cooling system, the fluid changes colour from blue to yellow, providing instant visual confirmation of a leak. This straightforward testing method eliminates guesswork and helps mechanics diagnose issues accurately before recommending expensive engine repairs. The kit includes comprehensive components for versatile testing across different vehicle types. The cone adaptor and radiator cap allow direct fitment to most cooling systems, whilst the kit also integrates seamlessly with Draper Radiator Pressure Test Kits for comprehensive cooling system diagnostics. Supplied with 250ml of detector fluid in a refillable bottle, this complete testing solution arrives in a robust plastic storage case for workshop organisation and protection.
