The Makita UG001G 40v XGT Cordless Brushless Ground Trimmer is a professional-grade landscaping machine built for efficient, large-scale grass and ground vegetation maintenance. Unlike conventional grass trimmers that require a side-to-side sweeping action, the UG001G uses hedge trimmer-style blades mounted at 90 degrees to the shaft, allowing operators to cut simply by pushing the machine forward. This approach significantly improves productivity and reduces operator fatigue during extended use across large areas. The stable three-wheel design allows the machine to stand independently, reducing the physical effort needed to support and manoeuvre it throughout a working day. Tool-free handle and cutting height adjustments make it straightforward to set up and adapt to different terrain and vegetation conditions on site. Powered by Makita's 40v XGT battery platform and driven by a brushless motor with constant speed control, the UG001G delivers consistent cutting performance even through dense vegetation. Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT) provides enhanced resistance to dust and moisture, making it well suited to demanding outdoor environments. The foldable design aids transportation and storage between jobs. The UG001G is ideally suited to grounds maintenance contractors, landscaping professionals, and large-property managers maintaining verges, pathways, embankments, and landscaped grounds.
