The Faithfull FSC Combination Gauge is a traditional hardwood marking gauge designed for accurate layout work in joinery and woodworking, combining mortice marking and grain-line scribing in a single versatile tool. Crafted from fine hardwood with brass facing plates and fittings throughout, this combination gauge offers the durability and precision expected by carpenters and joiners. A nylon friction pad is fitted beneath the knurled brass thumbscrew, reducing stem wear whilst ensuring the gauge holds its setting securely during use. The gauge serves two key functions: marking out with the grain using the primary pin, and laying out mortices using the second pin, which can be precisely positioned via the screwslide adjustment. This screw-adjusted setting makes it straightforward to achieve repeatable, accurate results when marking mortice and tenon joints. Made with FSC® 100% Certified Wood from well-managed forests, this gauge is a responsible choice for tradespeople and craftspeople who value sustainably sourced tools. Features and Benefits: • Hardwood construction with brass facing plates and fittings for durability and precision • Knurled brass thumbscrew with nylon friction pad to protect the stem and maintain accurate settings • Screwslide adjustment on the second pin for precise, repeatable mortice layout • Dual-function design suitable for both grain marking and mortice work • FSC® 100% Certified Wood — sustainably sourced from well-managed forests
