The Makita 421563-7 is a genuine OEM replacement cap designed to protect internal components on the LS1013, LS1013L and LS1214 series mitre saws. Moulded from durable black elastomer rubber, it provides an accurate, factory-fit seal over an exposed opening on the machine. The cap acts as a barrier against dust, wood chips and moisture, helping to preserve the condition of internal parts and sliding mechanisms. Keeping these areas clean supports consistent cutting accuracy and reduces the frequency of maintenance intervals — a practical consideration for tradespeople running mitre saws in busy site or workshop environments. As a direct replacement for a worn, split or missing original, this cap installs without modification and is typically a straightforward push-fit. It is suitable for both professional servicing and routine DIY upkeep, restoring the factory level of protection quickly and without the guesswork of aftermarket alternatives. Features and Benefits: • Genuine Makita part (OEM 421563-7) for assured fit and compatibility • Durable rubber construction resists tearing, cracking and deformation • Seals against dust and chip ingress to protect internal components • Supports cutting accuracy by keeping slide and pivot areas cleaner • Direct replacement — installs without modification, typically a push-fit • Compatible with LS1013, LS1013L and LS1214 family variants • Black finish matches the original factory appearance of the saw
