The Festool ST D125-M4-SW 125mm Backing Pad is a specialist sanding pad designed for working on curved surfaces, concavities, and contoured profiles. Suitable for use with the ES 125, ETS 125, and ETSC 125 sanders, this backing pad is specifically engineered as an ultra-soft version, making it ideally suited to sanding significant curves and surfaces with bends. The soft construction allows the pad to conform closely to irregular profiles, ensuring consistent abrasive contact where a standard backing pad would not. Changing abrasive sheets is made straightforward thanks to the hook-and-loop (burr) layer, keeping downtime to a minimum during professional use. This makes the pad a practical choice for workshops and on-site finishing work where efficiency matters. Typical applications include furniture manufacture, painting and varnishing preparation, and detail sanding on beading, concave, and convex surfaces where precision and surface conformity are essential.
