The Sealey DAS149 is a dual action random orbit sander designed for professional surface preparation and polishing applications. This versatile 600W power tool combines a 150mm pad size with an 8mm dual action orbit to deliver efficient material removal and smooth finishing across a wide range of surfaces. Variable speed control from 1500-6800rpm enables precise adjustment for different materials and tasks, while the soft start function ensures controlled operation from the moment you switch on. The lightweight design at just 2.3kg reduces operator fatigue during extended use, making it ideal for vehicle body preparation, woodworking projects, and general surface refinishing work. The dual action orbit pattern helps cover more surface area efficiently whilst minimising swirl marks, delivering a superior finish compared to standard orbital sanders. An on/off slide switch provides convenient operation control, and the soft-grip handle enhances comfort during prolonged sanding sessions. The 1.9m mains cable offers good working reach around vehicles or workbenches. This sander can also be converted for polishing applications when fitted with the optional Model No. PTC115VA516 backing pad (sold separately), adding further versatility to the tool. The hook-and-loop pad system allows quick and easy disc changes, minimising downtime between tasks.
