The Makita ML014G is a cordless tower work light designed to deliver powerful, flexible illumination on professional job sites without the need for a mains power supply. Offering a luminous flux range of 1,100 to 15,000 lumens with a 5,000K colour temperature, the ML014G provides bright, daylight-quality light suited to a wide range of working environments. The IP56 rating makes it resilient against dust ingress and water jets, giving contractors confidence when using it in exposed or challenging conditions. A key advantage of this tower light is its compatibility with both Makita 18V LXT and 40V XGT lithium-ion battery platforms, making it a practical addition for tradespeople already invested in either system. Runtime varies depending on the battery used — from under an hour on a 1.5Ah 18V pack to up to 28 hours on a 40V 8.0Ah battery at the lowest brightness setting. The three independently adjustable light heads can be angled across 180° both horizontally and vertically, allowing precise direction of light across a workspace. The folding tripod stand provides stable placement on uneven ground and collapses to a compact 290 x 265 x 1,035mm for storage and transport. An included shoulder strap makes moving the unit between locations straightforward for a single operator. The ML014G is well suited to use on construction sites, in workshops, and for evening or low-light installation work where consistent, high-output lighting is essential.
