The Portwest Suspension Trauma Safety Straps are an essential piece of fall arrest equipment, designed to be deployed in the critical period following a fall to prevent suspension trauma while awaiting rescue. When a worker is suspended in a harness after a fall, blood can pool in the legs, restricting circulation and causing suspension trauma — a serious and potentially fatal condition. These straps are designed to be attached to the harness to allow the suspended person to stand up slightly, relieving pressure on the leg loops and maintaining healthier blood flow. Rated to a maximum load of 100kg, the straps are suitable for use alongside a wide range of safety harnesses and fall arrest systems. Their straightforward design ensures they can be installed onto a harness quickly, and donned or doffed with ease — important factors in both emergency situations and routine working at height operations. Features and Benefits: • Helps prevent suspension trauma by relieving pressure on leg loops after a fall • Max rated load of 100kg • Designed for easy donning and doffing • Quick and straightforward to install onto a harness Specifications: Colour: Black Fit: R Max Rated Load: 100kg
